With a total of more than 480 ski resorts and over 2,600 ski lifts and ropeways, the USA is one of the world’s top countries for skiing. So it is only logical that Interalpin, the leading international trade fair for alpine technologies, should be paying its first visit as a new associate member of the National Ski Areas Association (NSAA): “We are delighted to be able to present Interalpin at the industry’s foremost US event and to discuss the latest developments face to face with representatives of the country’s leading ski resorts and suppliers of alpine technologies.”
In view of the keen demand from both exhibitors and visitors, the US trip will be used to provide preliminary details of Interalpin 2017, as a delighted Project Manager Stefan Kleinlercher explains: “We want to give NSAA members a preview of what they can expect at Interalpin.”
What began as a product presentation in the framework of the Ski Piste Congress held in Innsbruck-Igls in 1974 has evolved over the decades into the industry’s leading and most popular international trade fair. Interalpin, which is held every two years, has continually grown its exhibitor and visitor totals and established itself as the prime venue for the ropeway industry, attracting companies and trade visitors from more than eighty countries. The 650 international companies at the trade fair exhibit new and innovative products and services for the entire ropeway industry, for mountain development institutions, for snowmaking and winter service providers, for mountain safety and rescue services, and for all mountain industries. In addition to its full winter offering, Interalpin is also a well established platform for all aspects of summer mountain leisure and tourism and has now added a third focus to take account of the latest developments and trends such as the growing importance of ropeways for urban transport.
The 21st edition of Interalpin will be held at Messe Innsbruck from April 26 to 28, 2017.
