Fatzer AG acquires Rocky Mountain Lift Services & Supplies Inc. (Rigging Specialties)

The acquisition took place on 19 August 2024, is part of Fatzer's North American strategy and plays a key role in the Swiss rope specialist's Smart Service offering.

Rocky Mountain Lift Services & Supplies Inc. provides products & services for rope rigging applications as well as rope installations, magnetic resonance testing (MRT) and maintenance on lift components such as gearboxes, bull wheel bearings and sheaves. The Canmore (Alberta, Canada) based company has over 35 years of experience in the fields of rope installation for ropeways, structural ropes and mining.

The acquisition will enable Fatzer to improve its local market presence and to provide its customers with key services around transportation ropes and structural ropes. “Providing great services to our customers is at the core of our business philosophy. In Rocky Mountain Lift Services & Supplies Inc. Fatzer has found the right partner to expand in the key market of North America”, explains Martin Bechtold, CEO of Fatzer AG.
