Mountain Planet: a trade fair for the future of the mountains

Since 1974, Mountain Planet has been the international trade fair for the development of mountain regions, bringing together the most important players in the industry: decision-makers from industry and politics, ski resort operators, and experts. Organized by ALPEXPO Grenoble, this biennial event has established itself as an important forum for discussing the current and future challenges facing mountain regions.

The 2026 edition, which will take place from April 21 to 23, will highlight innovative solutions to the ecological, climatic, and economic issues facing mountains. In addition to environmentally friendly technologies, Mountain Planet also explores the social upheavals in mountain regions. The evolution of job profiles such as maintenance technicians and ski lift operators highlights the need to adapt the skills of skilled workers to the new challenges facing the industry.

The fair offers special areas for training and networking, such as job dating, to promote employment in an industry that is constantly evolving.

In collaboration with industry-recognized expert Laurent Vanat, Mountain Planet presents comprehensive analyses of global dynamics in the mountain tourism market.

The annual Innovation Book magazine accompanies this reflection and presents concrete solutions and perspectives for meeting the future challenges of the mountain world.
